THANK YOU to Friends who made gifts online and by mail totaling $21,435.
During this season of charitable giving, please consider making a gift to the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art. From presenting the original exhibition Deborah Roberts: The Evolution of Mimi and also the United States premiere of Zanele Muholi: Somnyama Ngonyama, Hail the Dark Lioness to officially establishing the Curatorial Studies Program in collaboration with the Department of Art & Visual Culture, 2018 was a banner year.
The Museum will launch 2019 with Amy Sherald, the nationally touring exhibition organized by the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and curated by Lisa Melandri. Indeed, we said Amy Sherald—the incredible painter whose portrait of Mrs. Obama has captivated audiences around the world.
Your generosity will help make our first online year-end campaign a smashing success and ensure that we exceed our $10,000 goal. Please consider making a year-end gift or becoming a Friend of the Museum. Your support will help us continue our tradition of presenting what CNN described as “fantastically curated exhibitions.”
All gifts—one-time and recurring—are meaningful. We invite you to make a gift or become a Friend of the Museum this holiday season.
All contributions to Spelman College are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
